Student or Graduate ideally must be from a Mechanical, Manufacturing or similar engineering fields.
Previous work experience is desirable but not necessary. You will have the ability to work under pressure and perform well as a team member. It is essential that you will have following general skills and knowledge for our Placement Scheme:
Have a metallurgical back ground
Knowledge of Steel heat treatment processes
Good knowledge of MS Office
Proven ability to work effectively on own initiative and effectively contribute within a team environment
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Self-motivated and able to prioritise tasks

Some of the projects the candidate will be involved in are:
Interpretation of material composition results to identify correct heat treatment parameters to ensure right first time
Ability to forecast furnace temperatures based on data analysis
Expected learning outcomes for the candidate:
The candidate will gain practical experience of work in aerospace production environment
The candidate will implement a right first time heat treatment process to support OTD thus reducing costs to the business and improving efficiency
The candidate will have an opportunity to identify, analyse and discuss with experience team members how theoretical concepts are applied in working environment.
