The project:

There are a number of IT projects in the pipeline that have potential to deliver significant benefit to the business. These projects require dedicated resource in order to gain any traction but IT has a large backlog of BAU and project tasks and simply does not have the resource to dedicate to these areas for some weeks.

Sales/Engineering initially requested this COOP to design a system to replace the Sales tool ‘ERIC’. However following discussion between IT and Sales/Engineering it has been decided that it is more beneficial to the business to recruit a generic IT business / project analyst who can address multiple IT projects (with an initial focus on Sales / Engineering IT projects) and who is managed by IT. This approach will ensure that: the COOP is aligned with existing IT procedures and initiatives; that they will receive the technical support and guidance they require and that their approach and output is of the required standard.

Expected result of project:

(What is the physical outcome / financial benefit to the business)

The replacement of ‘ERIC’ with a modern, fit-for-purpose system that is flexible and supportable by the wider business.
The replacement of ‘E-Cardex’ with a modern, fit-for-purpose system that is flexible and supportable by the wider business.
