An opportunity is available at our facility in West Yorkshire with potential travel to our Leicester facility.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, talented, ambitious and skilled individual who thrives on a challenge to undertake a 12 month placement within our Manufacturing Engineering team. The individual would report to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and duties would include:

  • Development of Automated manufacturing processes
  • Staubli Robot Programming
  • Offline Robot Master Programming (Mastercam)
  • Additive manufacturing
  • Process improvement
  • Implement system and provide operator training
  • Integrate hardware and software on computers and programmable logic controllers in a networked environment
  • Preparation and development of software

To become part of our innovative team, you will need:

  • To be studying preferably for an Mechatronic/Mechanical/Automation/Manufacturing engineering degree, ideally with a systems/computer technology aspect
  • Strong communication skills and problem-solving ability
  • CAD capability
  • Competency to evaluate hardware design, including I/O, response units, network requirements and software
  • Understanding of database and networking with respect to automation data
  • To be a well motivated, self starter with drive and enthusiasm
  • To have excellent attention to detail and produce quality work within set timeframes
  • To have a structured, method driven approach to all work tasks
