AETC Limited is a UK division of the industry leading Precision Castparts Corp (PCC), which employs over 30,500 people across the globe. PCC is the world’s largest manufacturer of airfoils components for the aerospace and Industrial power generation markets.

Opportunities are available at our machining facility in Leicester.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, talented and ambitious undergraduate placement to support our changing business.

You will work on a variety of projects within the Supply Chain Department, with a key focus to support the Supply Chain Team and collect information to improve the internal planning process. You will also will be involved in 6S within the department, to further improve the scoring within the area.

Two key projects include a grinding wheel project, to improve the management of grinding wheels and a second project regarding lead times and yields to improve the planning process.

To become part of our innovative team, you will need:

  • To be studying for a relevant degree such as Engineering, Technology or a Business Management related subject, with a strong predicted grade (2.1 or above)
  • Well developed problem solving skills
  • Strong IT Skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence others and challenge ways of thinking
  • A keen interest in working within manufacturing and precision engineering
  • A passion for driving continuous improvement projects
  • To be a well motivated, self starter with drive and enthusiasm
  • To have excellent attention to detail and produce quality work within set timeframes 
  • To have a structured, method driven approach to all work tasks.
