About this Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic, talented and ambitious undergraduate placement engineer for our 12 month Placement vacancy. will be able to immerse yourself into a highly skilled and experienced team of Engineers; allowing you to gain the expertise necessary to progress within this global industry.

This role gives an exceptional insight into a key area of a manufacturing organisation. Within the Quality Department, you will be working within our team of experienced Quality Engineers, in a bid to reduce non-conformance within the business whilst ensuring that quality products reach our customers in a timely manner.

You will also be responsible for driving the implementation off PCC’s ’Zero Defects’ program, with the aim to create a culture that is intolerant of non-conformance.

To become part of our innovative team, you will need:

  • To be studying for a relevant engineering degree (Aerospace, Mechanical, Manufacturing or Automotive), with a strong predicted grade (2.1 or above) Well developed problem solving skills
  • Strong IT Skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence others and challenge ways of thinking
  • A keen interest in manufacturing and precision engineering
  • A passion for driving continuous improvement projects
  • To be a well motivated, self starter with drive and enthusiasm
  • To have excellent attention to detail and produce quality work within set timeframes To have a structured, method driven approach to all work tasks

Job Specifics

  • £19k Per Annum Salary
  • 38 hour working week
  • This opportunity is at our Leicester site, LE18 4ZH
