About this Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic, talented and ambitious undergraduate placement engineer to support our expanding business. Working in a rewarding and challenging environment, you will be able to immerse yourself into a highly skilled and experienced team of Engineers; allowing you to gain the expertise necessary to progress within this global industry.

You will work on a variety of projects within the Manufacturing Department, with a key focus on cost reduction and using your skills to identify and pursue manufacturing/ process/procedure improvements. You will be assigned real life projects to work on with real cost savings which will benefit the business.

To become part of our innovative team, you will need:

• To be studying for a relevant engineering degree (Mechanical, Manufacturing or Electronics / Electrical), with a strong predicted grade (2.1 or above)
• Well developed problem solving skills
• Strong IT Skills
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence others and challenge ways of thinking
• A keen interest in manufacturing and precision engineering
• A passion for driving continuous improvement projects
• To be a well motivated, self starter with drive and enthusiasm
• To have excellent attention to detail and produce quality work within set timeframes
• To have a structured, method driven approach to all work tasks

• £19k Per Annum Salary
• 38 hour working week
