Job Description

Saipem is one of the largest turnkey Engineering & Construction contractors in the Oil and Gas industry. With a strong bias towards oil and gas related activities in the world including remote areas and challenging deep water locations, it is a leader in the supply of engineering, procurement, project management and construction services, with distinctive capabilities in the design and execution of large-scale offshore and onshore projects.

Saipem - Infrastructures

Saipem has developed complete in-house capabilities for the design and management of the largest and most complex integrated infrastructure projects.

Saipem Limited, based in South London, is an offshore E&C business unit which specialises in design, installation and removal of offshore oil and gas infrastructure throughout the world but predominantly in the harsh environment of the North Atlantic, North Sea and Baltic / Arctic regions.
More recently, we have expanded our capability in engineering and construction in the renewables sector (offshore wind farms).

Saipem operates a prestigious fleet of vessels including high productivity Pipelay vessels for large diameter trunklines, Construction vessels for shallow and deep water rigid / flexible pipes / subsea trenching & subsea structures installation, Heavy lift vessels & large transportation barges for installing/removing topsides, jackets and windfarm components.

Saipem Limited is currently looking for high calibre graduates, possibly with some work experience, with degree qualification in either mechanical engineering, civil/structural engineering, naval architecture, or similar to work in the Naval Analysis Department.

The Graduate role requires strong analytical skills, able to perform advanced analysis for simulating offshore installation operations. Ideally, the candidate will have programming skills such as Python or VBA, and be familiar with finite element programs. Ability to contribute to technology development and workplace collaboration are important qualities, as these are foreseen as key attributes for our future success.

Training and development will be provided to build a range of technical and professional skills within the department, which are necessary to work in our multi-disciplinary project based organisation covering a range of work locations. Whilst the role will predominantly be London based, we require flexibility to undertake work in other offices and offshore sites at appropriate times.

Saipem Limited encourages and supports all engineers in their professional development to achieve Chartered Engineer status.
