Gradcracker works here's the proof
Saipem is one of the largest turnkey Engineering & Construction contractors in the Oil and Gas industry. We undertake challenging projects around the world including remote areas and ultra deep water locations. As a leader in the design and execution of large-scale offshore and onshore projects, we specialise in the provision of engineering, procurement, project management and construction services.
Saipem Limited, based in South London, is an offshore E&C business unit which undertakes the design, installation and removal of offshore oil and gas facilities predominantly in the harsh environment of the North Sea, North Atlantic and Baltic / Arctic regions although we also participate in many of Saipem’s worldwide project activities. More recently, we have expanded our capability in engineering and construction into the renewables sector (offshore wind farms).
Saipem operates an extensive fleet of vessels including high productivity Pipelay vessels for large diameter trunklines, and a range of construction vessels for shallow and deep water installation of rigid and flexible pipe & subsea structures. Heavy lift vessels with up to 14000 te capacity & large transportation barges are used for installing or removing topsides, jackets and windfarm components.
Saipem Limited is currently looking for high calibre graduates with degree qualification in civil/structural engineering, mechanical engineering or similar to work in the Pipeline and Subsea Facilities Design Department. Previous work experience would be an advantage but not essential.
The Graduate will be responsible for the design of pipelines and facilities associated with the subsea transportation of oil and gas. This requires strong analytical skills to address the many severe environmental and operating conditions encountered such as pipelines on very rough seabeds, high temperature/high pressure buckling behaviour, fishing gear interaction etc. Ideally, the candidate will be familiar with finite element software packages and programming tools such as Python or VBA. Ability to contribute to technology development and workplace collaboration are seen as key attributes for our future success.
Saipem will provide the necessary Training and Development to build the range of technical and professional skills required to work in our multi-disciplinary project based organisation. We also encourage and support all engineers in their professional development to achieve Chartered Engineer status.
Whilst the role will predominantly be London based, we require flexibility to undertake work in other offices and offshore sites at appropriate times.
