Here are some tips to make sure you put your best foot forward.

How can I make sure my application stands out?

  • At HPE, we strongly believe in fairness and giving everyone an equal opportunity. That’s why everyone who applies to join our team is given the same time and consideration. But that doesn’t mean you can’t help yourself stand out from the pack.
  • Strong candidates tend to do their homework. Do some research and let us know why you’re interested in joining our team. Next, pay close attention to the details outlined in our job descriptions and use that as a guideline for applying to roles you’re truly interested in or that align with your experience.

OK, I’ve applied. How long does it take to hear back?

  • We know when you find a job you’re really excited about, you can’t wait to interview. We try to get back to everyone within a few weeks of applying, but with more popular roles, this may take a bit longer. So please be patient with us.

Interview

Whether you are a seasoned pro at interviewing, this is your first one, or somewhere in between - we want you to have a great experience! The below information is designed to help you prepare and bring your best self to the interview. Remember, interviews are a chance for both of us to establish if this is the right role for you. 

I've got an interview! What can I expect?

  • Congrats! The first step in the interviewing process involves a video or telephone interview with one of our recruiters. This a general chat to get to know you and help you learn a little bit more about the role.
  • If the recruiter feels like you’d be a great candidate for the role, they will invite you for a second interview with one or two members of the team. This interview will be more in-depth, discussing specifics of the role, your background and how your experience could be best utilised.
  • For some positions, there is another round of a panel interview that may involve meeting multiple team members that you could be interacting with on a daily basis in your role. But don’t worry — we’ll keep you well-informed at every stage of interviewing and will allow for plenty of time to prepare

How can I prepare for my interview?

  • Show us what makes you such a great addition to our team! Easier said than done, right? During the interview you'll be asked about different behavioural and technical aspects of the role for which you're applying, so you'll want to prepare accordingly. We also encourage you spend a little time learning more about our company, our products and the services we provide.

Decision

After the interview we carefully consider all those interviewed and arrive at the final tough decision. We know making the right career move is important to you too and we hope through the interview process you have got to know us and decided on HPE!

When will I hear back after my final interview?

  • We’ll try our best to get back to you as quickly as possible, although this can sometimes take a little longer. As you wait, feel free to follow up with your recruiter and reach out with any questions you may have.
