Milestone Infrastructure is recruiting for Graduate Engineers within our projects team in Oxfordshire. 

This is an exciting opportunity to join our graduate programme in Milestone Infrastructure, with opportunities to progress within a highly respected company. Milestone Infrastructure sits within M Group Services Transport Division, positioned to support transport clients across the UK, supporting the safe movement of people via rail, aviation and highways.

The start date of the graduate programme will be the 27th September 2021 and you must be available to start employment on this date to be considered for the programme.  

We will be conducting an assessment centre which will take place during the week commencing the 17th August in Oxford. Please only apply if you are able to attend. 

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Management of all engineering activities including engineering control, setting out and providing direction to workforce
  • Leading Quality control systems to ensure compliance with project design and specifications
  • Ensuring the highest possible Health, Safety & Environmental standards are employed across all projects 
  • Meeting client expectations and ensure excellent communication skills with all project stakeholders
  • Survey & Engineering Control - Responsible for checking all sub-contractor and direct labour works
  • Reviewing design and proposing solution by raising RFI's and communicating to relevant parties i.e. Designers / Sub Contractors
  • Materials ordering and approvals
  • Working with the Site Agent in monitoring HSEQ aspects of the project including Project Health and Safety File
  • Keeping accurate records including site diary, records of works activities, resource allocations and as-built information using AutoCAD
  • Inputing into collaborative planning for site work
  • Mentoring and line managing apprentice engineers.

Essential Skills and Knowledge Requirements:

  • BEng or BSc in Civil Engineering (2:1 or above)
  • Masters in Civil Engineering or related discipline would be preferred
  • Some relevant industry work experience preferred
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Excellent IT skills including AutoCAD and structural analysis software
  • UK Driving licence.
