About The Role

Morrison Energy Services is recruiting for a Graduate Project Manager to join our Electrical Transmission division which is a nationwide role, covering England and Wales.

Your time on the programme will see you gaining all kinds of specialist technical skills. You will be joining the Morrison Energy Services’ Electrical Transmission business unit as a Graduate Project Manager, with an exciting opportunity to support the project management, construction management, and commercial delivery teams in the safe, effective and successful delivery of high voltage electrical transmission projects for high profile clients such as National Grid.

You’ll have visibility in key areas of our business including design, operations, health & safety and commercial so you’ll be able to appreciate the important role engineering plays within our business.

As part of our Graduate Development Programme, we will develop your technical and leadership skills to help you reach your full potential and as your programme progresses you will have increased responsibility, you’ll work with experts who will share their knowledge, provide support and give invaluable feedback.

The start date of the graduate programme will be the 5th September 2022 and you must be available to start employment on this date to be considered for the programme.

We will be conducting an assessment centre which will take place on the 26th July 2022. Please only apply if you are able to attend.

As a Graduate Project Manager your duties & responsibilities will be:

Help to develop goals and objectives that promote growth and prosperity
Assist in the design and implementation of project management plans and strategies that enable and promote the attainment of goals
Support the development and implementation of Safety documentation including Health and Safety Plans, Method Statements and Risk Assessments
Help to ensure that projects are delivered in line with Morrison Energy Services procedures and current industry legislation, guidance and best practice
Assist in the monitoring and reporting of various metrics against contractual Key Performance Indicators
Assist in the implementation of appropriate contractual change control, ensuring the capture of cost, programme and quality impacts
Support in the planning and programming of current and future works
Assist in the identification, procurement and performance monitoring of subcontractors

Personal Skills and Behaviours:

A minimum of a 2:2 BA (Hons) or BSc (Hons) in a Project Management or relevant Engineering degree (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical/Electrical, etc).
A flexible approach to work and able to adapt to change
A team focus with the ability to communicate and build strong relationships with a wide variety of people at all levels
A driven, self-motivated attitude, with the ability to work on your own initiative and influence decision making
Ideally previous work experience or relevant placement
A full, clean driving licence
Successful candidates will need to be flexible on location
