We can only do this by investing in the brightest, most creative and talented Graduate Engineers. Following several years of outstanding success with graduate recruitment, training and development, our office in Sutton, London, is now seeking to recruit Graduate Engineers to join us by requesting suitable & interested applicants to submit their CVs for review.

As a Graduate Engineer with Subsea 7 you will be recruited to an initial post within one of our Engineering Departments.

Through the structured Graduate Development Programme you will complete a number of flexible placements often with the opportunity to travel and work offshore and overseas. This will give you experience across the breadth of activities undertaken by the company, allowing you to develop the competencies required by the Engineering Council and your chosen Professional Institution. In addition to this structured rotation, you will join the Graduate Engineer Development Scheme (GEDS) where you will take part in a series of training sessions.
As a member of the GEDS you will become part of a global engineering community, supporting and helping each other through the scheme and into the future.

Main Duties and Responsibilities for a Graduate Engineer

  • Under direct supervision, assist with production of deliverables, which may include engineering support to drawing office, design calculations, specifications, procedures, analyses, progress reports, bid evaluations, study reports and various 3rd-party submissions.
  • Consolidate knowledge in areas of discipline engineering, including design codes, legislative requirements and current good engineering practice.
  • Limited awareness of clients' needs; addresses design parameters and problems; develops and implements solutions.
  • Assist in the production of technical documentation in compliance with Subsea 7 processes and procedures
  • Makes effort to become aware of all relevant safety objectives and legal requirements.
  • Participates in meetings/correspondence with Clients, subcontractors, 3rd parties, etc in a junior capacity.
  • Recognises the objectives for professional development.

Requirements for candidates

We ask for applications from existing or potential University Graduates ideally at B.Eng. or up to M.Eng. level or equivalent in Mechanical, Marine or Structural/Civil Engineering or similar.

In addition to University education strong GSCE and A Level or equivalent results will be advantageous.
Candidates must be willing and able to live and work in London. The successful candidates will be based in Sutton (south west London) but there will be the opportunity for global travel.
