By joining our industrial placement scheme, you will be able to explore various roles and disciplines around the business to help develop your career. Our core values (Integrity, Excellence, Teamwork, Commitment and Sustainability) are key to our success.

Your rotations will involve working closely with other business areas from operations and quality to logistics and finance, enabling you to develop a wider understanding of the business. During your placement, you will be given the support required to develop your technical and project management skills to ensure you deliver your projects on time and to budget, while getting hands on experience in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
There are also opportunities within the business to gain a MPDS mentor from a professional institute (either the IMechE or IET) and use your year in industry to progress towards professional qualifications. Caterpillar can extend a conditional offer process for our highest performing placement students who are then fast tracked to our graduate scheme.
