The Integrated Components & Solutions team offers some of the most exciting engineering roles within the Caterpillar global organisation. Working on the integration of electronic and electrical systems for Caterpillar products provides the opportunity to work with multiple disciplines within the organisation.
We are pleased to have a number of student positions available this year, including 4 placement opportunities and a number of graduate positions.
During your placement you will have the opportunity to work with teams focused on the integration, development, application and validation of electrical and electronic control systems for diesel engine, electric drivetrain or construction machine products.

We also operate a conditional offer process for our top performing placement students, giving you the opportunity to start your career with us on a permanent basis upon graduation.
We hold a Meet and Greet day for all new UK placement students to provide you with an opportunity to meet fellow new starters across the UK before you start your placement.
We operate a conditional offer process; our highest performing placement students are fast tracked to our graduate development scheme. This includes a financial incentive and the potential of a summer work placement. Offers will be made based on the condition that a graduate role is available at the time of your graduation and that you achieve a min of 2:2.
You will need to be enthusiastic, self-motivated and capable of learning quickly in a fast-paced development environment. We are looking for someone with an interest in applying electronic technology to the control of mechanical or hydraulic systems. Whilst this placement is primarily focused around electronics and electrical systems, it is not essential that you are studying in this discipline (Approximately 40% of the current team come from other engineering disciplines).
You will also require excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact regularly with customers and colleagues within the Caterpillar global team. Travel to customer sites within Europe may be required.
It is essential that applicants should have achieved or be on track to achieve a minimum of a 2:2 in one of the following disciplines: Aeronautical, Aerospace, Agricultural, Automotive, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Control Systems, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Maths and Physical Sciences.
Salary : £17,500, Share Scheme, Pension, Flexible working and 25 days annual leave.
