About the programme

Our Change and Business Solutions programme provides you with the chance to start building analyst skills whilst developing an agile, digital and customer focussed mind set to help our business change to make sure we’re serving our customers well.

Innovation within the Financial Services industry is crucial to remaining commercial and competitive. This pathway is all about focusing on customer experiences, data and technology to support cutting edge insights, so we can be more agile and innovative, keeping us ahead of the curve with the ever evolving needs of our customer.

Our 10 week summer internship, which will start in June 2020, will give you first hand experience of the work we do in Change and Business Solutions. You’ll be supporting us to develop leading edge, innovative solutions to serve our customers in the best way we can.

RBS | Innovation

With so many emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence and Blockchain, there’s so much to learn and be inspired about. We’re keeping at the forefront of this and we’d like you to come and join us on our journey.

What we are offering

We’ll reward you with a salary of £21,500 pro rata.

This internship’s a great opportunity to:

  • Develop your skills, and build some new ones.
  • Meet new people and grow your professional network.
  • Deepen your understanding of our business.
  • Experience our team culture and values.
  • Get stuck into a real life project and add value to our business.
  • Gain valuable career experience, which will inspire your future career choices.

For us, it’s about finding talented and passionate people, who’ll make a difference to our business in the long term. That’s why if you complete the internship successfully, and enjoy your experience, there could be a place available for you on our 2021 Change and Business Solutions graduate programme.

What you'll do

The internship starts with an induction and then you’ll start your 10 week placement, where you’ll attend training workshops, get involved with our day to day work, and take part in a business improvement project.

You’ll be updating your learning log so, towards the end of the internship, you’ll be able to show off everything you’ve learned in your final assessment.

We’ll pair you up with a ‘buddy’ and a line manager who’ll support you for the full 10 weeks. Your buddy will be a current graduate who’ll help you get settled by sharing their experience. Your line manager will provide guidance and support throughout the programme, and help you grow your professional network.

About You

  • If you’d like to apply for this internship, you’ll need to be in your penultimate year of a university degree, and on course to achieve a 2:1.
  • We’re looking for people who have a real passion for innovation, who want to take on new challenges head on.
  • You’ll need to have excellent communication skills, and an inquisitive nature, paired with a technical mind set and analytical abilities.

If that sounds like you, then why not apply?
