Where the STEM jobs are
Gradcracker works here's the proof
Get your career off to a flying start with our 10 week paid Software Engineering internship in Technology. You’ll gain a real insight into the role of technology in our business, and be perfectly positioned to join our graduate programme the following year.
Our internship covers a wider range of areas, so it’ll give you exposure to how we’re developing our technology proposition for customers and colleagues. We’ve designed our 10 week summer internship to give you direct experience of what we do in RBS, our goals and our ways of working.
We’ll reward you with a salary of £21,500 pro rata, depending on location.
This internship’s a great opportunity to:
For us, it’s about finding and engaging talented and passionate people who’ll make a difference to our business in the long term. That’s why if you complete the internship successfully, and enjoy your experience, there could be a place available for you on our 2021 graduate Software Engineering programme.
The internship starts with an induction and you’ll then begin your 10 week placement, where you’ll attend training workshops, get involved with our day to day work, and take part in a business improvement project.
You’ll be updating your learning log so, towards the end of the internship, you’ll be able to show off everything you’ve learned in your final assessment.
We’ll pair you up with a ‘buddy’ and a line manager who’ll support you for the full 10 weeks. Your buddy will be a current graduate who’ll help you get settled by sharing their experience. Your line manager will provide guidance and support throughout the programme, and help you develop your professional network.
If you’d like to apply for our Software Engineering internship, you need to be in your penultimate year of a university degree, and on course for a 2:1 or above in a STEM subject.
We’ll be looking out for curious and inquisitive people with a real passion for technology, and the drive to explore how it can be used to make a positive difference for our customers.
If that sounds like you, then why not apply?
