We are currently recruiting a Graduate Quantity Surveyor for an initial assignment supporting an aviation project in Ireland. Bechtel will be working in an integrated team with our client to support the delivery of a Capital Investment Plan of circa €2bn within an operating airport environment.

Position Summary

We are looking for ambitious, capable and driven recent graduate to work as a Quantity Surveyor within the Project Controls function.

The successful candidate will be provided with training and opportunities to further advance their skill sets. This will also involve periodically rotating between projects and disciplines to gain a broad understanding of the function within the organisation.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute and develop project critical commercial skills.

Typical Responsibilities

  • Manage work performance, early warnings, compensation events, disputes, payments and securities
  • Review construction and engineering work performance in the field to contracted requirements
  • Coordinate with other team members to analyse the commercial merit of disputed positions
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives aligned to client project development needs
  • Prepare reports enabling proactive executive management decisions project progress and risks

Skills and Qualifications

  • An accredited RICS degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or similar
  • Ideally, industry experience gained through an internship or similar
  • Intermediate level at MS Excel, Project, Word and PowerPoint and numerically literate
  • Ability and willingness to relocate and/or travel to domestic and/or international project jobsites
