Our work in the Regulatory & Risk Advisory team is not only interesting and varied, but it's also high profile. With the current economic climate and in a world of increasing complexity, clients and regulators are focusing ever more closely on risk and regulatory issues. For example, we're helping them overcome global issues like Climate Risk and the rise of digital assets.

Financial Services firm are at the forefront of the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) regulatory agenda with governments turning their attention towards how the Financial sector can contribute to sustainable economic development. We advise our clients on dynamic regulatory compliance programmes and help them to integrate sustainability into risk management functions to ensure they are doing right by the environment and society.

We help our clients solve business problems by developing tailored and pragmatic solutions that make a meaningful and positive difference. It's become an area of high priority, change and growth within KPMG too. The work we do helps to make Financial Services safer and protects clients and their customers. This is what makes this an endlessly fascinating area for new graduate joiners.

Based in either our Risk or Regulatory team, our three-year programme gives graduates the chance to build their experience and develop their expertise in risk management across the entire financial sector, as part of our 'learn for a lifetime' philosophy. Sectors include:

• Banking Risk and Regulatory: Banking Risk & Regulatory work involves understanding clients’ issues and providing support, advice and project delivery across their Boards, risk functions and finance functions.
• Insurance Risk and Regulatory: Here we help clients to respond to intervention and change from the Financial Conduct Authority and the Prudential Regulation Authority.
• Wealth and Asset Management: KPMG's Wealth and Asset Management Regulatory practice looks after the interests, and helps, a broad range of clients, from global asset managers with operations in multiple jurisdictions to smaller wealth managers who are predominantly UK focused.

Entry Requirements:

You’ll generally be expected to demonstrate the following (*or equivalents). • Grade 5 or B GCSE* Maths
• Grade 5 or B GCSE* English Language
• 120 UCAS points* from your ‘top’ 3 grades, excluding General Studies under the 2017 tariff point system at A Level (300 UCAS points pre-2017)
• 2:1 undergraduate degree in any discipline.

This ranges from an immersive 5-day induction experience to help you transition to the world of work, formal training courses, leadership knowledge bites, learning journals, online courses and networking events – all aligned to our ‘learn for a lifetime’ strategy designed to help you gain an advantage for life.

In addition, in Technology Audit (IRM), we currently offer the CFAB qualification. The CFAB qualification is part of the ACA Accelerated Programme, which is a front-loaded study path that uses innovative technology and is delivered via a blend of online and in-centre classroom courses. The ACA Accelerated programme enables you to upskill quickly so you can make your mark.

You will complete just the initial level of the ICAEW ACA qualification, CFAB or the Certificate in Accounting Finance and Business, which will give you a good understanding of business, finance & accounting, and is highly valued in organisations around the world. The ICAEW Certificate in Finance, Accounting & Business (ICAEW CFAB) teaches practical skills and essential knowledge in accounting, finance and business.

In the remaining two years of your training contract, you will concentrate on building up a fantastic range of work experience and will have the technical knowledge to apply to your role in the workplace. The entire programme is supported by a wide range of mechanisms that will be applied by your tuition provider (BPP) and KPMG’s dedicated Early Careers Development team. This newly designed programme has been structured with you in mind and truly empowers you to accelerate your learning journey at KPMG.
