We are looking for a talented civil engineering graduate to join our water and wastewater treatment design team. This team is responsible for delivering all aspects of water and wastewater treatment projects from feasibility to detailed design for a range of clients including UK water companies, design and build contractors, and international water clients.
You will be involved in the delivery of a diverse range of medium-to-large-scale projects from conception and feasibility through to detailed design and construction. Working on every facet of water and wastewater treatment, our civil engineers work as part of an integrated, multidisciplinary team to develop appropriate, safe, and cost-effective designs and long-term sustainable solutions
Initially you will be working as part of our team of highly skilled and experienced engineers to develop your technical, commercial and management skills. Your tasks will involve the development of engineering solutions, supporting the management of projects and preparing design deliverables including calculations, reports and drawings. As your career progresses your responsibilities will grow. You will have opportunities to lead design teams and be responsible for management of projects.
At Mott MacDonald our aim is to be digital by default. You will have the opportunity to work with the latest industry software, developing the knowledge and skills required to work in a rapidly developing industry.
In particular, we are currently providing civil and structural design inputs on the Boston Barrier project, which will protect 16,000 homes and businesses in the town. We are also providing feasibility and front-end design inputs to the Mogden and Beckton treatment works, and detailed design inputs on the Hogsmill and Earlswood treatment works, all of which will bring great benefits to the relevant clients and local communities through increased capacity and quality.
The role will be based in our Cambridge office.
