We are looking for a graduate to start their career in the interesting world of implementing and supporting commercial I.T. systems. For Renishaw these systems are the computer applications used by the business to produce their financial accounts, manage customer interactions, manufacture products and order components.
No previous experience is necessary as full training will be given. The successful candidate will work as a Trainee Analyst/Programmer in our Business Systems Department.
As a graduate position no previous experience is necessary, but you should be able to demonstrate an aptitude for working with computers and the desire to develop a career in IT. This could be shown by achievements in your personal life, previous work experience or during your university/school courses. It is vital that you have a willingness to learn.
Any experience of data analysis, manufacturing or business processes would be a distinct advantage but these skills can be taught and may not have been part of your education thus far. Foreign language skills would also be useful when dealing with people from our overseas subsidiary companies. Any computer programming skills will be beneficial too, however, training courses will be provided for this as required.
Training will be provided to supplement your existing experience as required to effectively carry out the job role. The training may take the form of on-the-job training by peers, use of self-paced online training materials, attendance of internal training courses or attendance of external training courses as appropriate.
Career progression within the Business Systems department is an established path from Trainee Analyst/Programmer to Analyst/Programmer, with further progression likely for the right candidate
The successful applicant will be an effective communicator, self-motivated, organised and capable of managing a diverse workload. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is important.
