The Graduate Project Coordinator scheme runs for one year and offers a fixed placement within a product division. During the scheme Graduate Project Coordinators will be given responsibility for a project and be responsible for owning project meetings and progressing project task lists, as well as maintaining project schedules and communicating project risks to senior stakeholders.
The Graduate Project Coordinator will be placed in one product division for the duration of the scheme, allowing them to gather a true experience of a project through its lifecycle. There will also be the opportunity to experience different projects at different stages of project lifecycles within that division. They will attend project meetings with our Project Managers to experience different project teams and external divisional interactions with our Manufacturing Services Division.
The Renishaw Project Coordinator Graduate scheme is based upon ‘on the job style’ training. Graduates are surrounded by experienced project managers and offered a mentor where they can learn and develop from the skills and knowledge to really get underway with managing a project at Renishaw.
To continue professional development, formal training is provided in Microsoft Project and Excel to equip them with tools to assist their day to day activities, as well as a soft skills training framework to follow.
At the end of the scheme each graduate will be expected to deliver a short presentation covering their experiences, learning and achievements, and provide an opportunity to review progress. A successful candidate leaving the scheme will be confident to deliver projects at Renishaw.
You will be appointed a placement supervisor who will not only set the work and objective expectations for you and the team you will be working with, but will support and feedback on your individual performance, allowing you to develop as your career progresses.
The Project Manager Community at Renishaw will provide support and updates to Graduate Project Coordinators during their year on the scheme, as they will throughout their PM career at Renishaw.
To support your own development scheme mentors are available, as is the knowledge and support from colleagues within all parts of the business. Additionally, your Stream Coordinator will be able to support and coach you throughout the year. To ensure that all graduate schemes are delivered to our expected quality, the Graduate Lead from HR will support both groups and individuals ensuring consistency.
