The industrial placements scheme at Renishaw is suitable for students who are required to undertake a sandwich placement as part of a degree course in Electronic Engineering, Robotics, Computing for Real-Time Systems or related degree.
Renishaw is a global, high precision metrology and healthcare technology group.
Successful applicants are placed directly into a Renishaw embedded engineering team, contributing directly to our current product development, as a means of learning embedded engineering in industry. Typically, you will work on a variety of platforms such as very low level dedicated operating systems, standard Real-Time operating systems in sequential processing and VHDL programming in FPGA's when parallel processing is required. Teams will pitch the work at a level geared for the individual, with progressive personal development aimed at creating a confident and productive embedded engineer over the course of the placement.
When you join Renishaw, we're committing to your future career. That's because we believe in developing our people's skills and promoting them internally. We also offer a benefits package that's highly desirable; including a 9% non-contributory pension, discretionary annual bonus, subsidised onsite restaurants and coffee shops, free parking, car sharing scheme and 24 hour fitness centres.
Of course, we appreciate there’s more to life than the office, so we also provide a variable working programme, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays with a “buy and sell” scheme, Life Assurance Policy of 4 times annual salary, enhanced maternity pay subject to qualifying criteria, the option to join BUPA Renishaw health trust after 1 years service and an Employee Assistance Programme for employees and family.
