Renishaw is a FTSE 250 global engineering and scientific technology company, with core skills in measurement, motion control, additive manufacturing, healthcare, spectroscopy and manufacturing. We supply products and services that push the boundaries of what is possible in applications as diverse as jet engine and wind turbine manufacture, through to dentistry and brain surgery. We are also a world leader in the field of metal additive manufacturing (also referred to as 3D printing), where we design and make industrial machines that ‘print' parts from metal powder.
We currently have 79 offices in 37 countries, with around 4,500 employees worldwide. Over 2,500 people are employed within the UK where we carry out the majority of our research and development, and manufacturing.
With a global presence in a broad range of sectors, we aim to ensure that our workforce reflects the diverse global communities we serve. Every year we welcome a wide range of new employees, from apprentices to experienced professionals. By joining Renishaw you will be making a difference to the world in which we live, in a global company that encourages innovation and personal achievement.
A Mechanical Industrial Placement at Renishaw will involve working on real engineering projects that can involve elements of, for instance, component design and modelling, process design, dynamic analysis, design for manufacture, mechanisms and control, and experimental design verification. Using the latest software applications, in-house development processes, technologies and practical skills can give a real insight into engineering business and how Renishaw develops and manufactures innovative new products.
Applications are encouraged from bright, highly motivated individuals who are excited by engineering. Renishaw engineers tend to be innovative, organised and passionate about their work both as an individual and as a team member and we are looking for people with similar skills and passion. Could this be you? Be part of an exciting company with a broad portfolio of innovative products and see where engineering can take you.
As Renishaw is based in a semi-rural location, it is essential that applicants have their own form of transport or are willing to relocate to the local area.
