Field Service Engineer - Ovation

Summary of role

To provide professional after sales support to the Emerson Process Management Customer base for all products but predominantly for our Ovation Control System. Tasks will include first line maintenance, site installation, commissioning, start-up and repair services.

What you'll be doing

You'll act as first customer contact during project warranty and after warranty period, performing investigation, troubleshooting, resolution and recommendation to issues identified in customer installation in a range of current Ovation products, active Ovation products, maintained Ovation products, third party connectivity products, cyber security products, working independently or under minimum supervision. You'll need to perform services on site, as well as remotely, scheduled or on-call.

Other responsibilities may include:

  • Executing DCS migrations, evergreens, service and other KOB3 projects.
  • Assisting factory acceptance testing and performing installation, start up and commissioning of the above range of products.
  • Conducting Ovation training courses for Operation and Maintenance personnel.
  • Preparing, maintaining and updating documentation of performed services, installed base information, Customer contacts and service planning in business systems.
  • Identifying and reporting Sales opportunities.

Qualifications & Experience

  • You will ideally hold an HNC/level in an Engineering discipline, such as electronics, computer science or control engineering.
  • An understanding of C&I theory including Control loop configuration and tuning.
  • Have clear and effective communication skills.
  • Full driving license.
