If Yes this is an exciting opening to work with both current and future technologies and innovations within our industry as a member of the Leicester based Software Engineering team. You will have insight into the design, implementation, factory acceptance test and site installation/commissioning phases of Process Systems and Software Solutions (SYSS) projects, both for Process Control Systems (PCS) and Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) for a wide variety of industries.

The initial training will commence with a structured 8-week technical boot camp in our offices in Cluj, Romania. This provides you with a solid technical understanding of a wide range of Emerson Process Management’s leading technologies and engineering methods.

Your development will continue with a mixture of internal and external training, online training through our dedicated Global Learning Centre and on the job training alongside some of the most forward-thinking managers and engineers in our industries.

You will also be provided with a carefully matched mentor and buddy from the business to offer support and mentorship as your career within Emerson develops.

Minimum of 2:1 university degree or equivalent, in the following: 

  • Process Automation & Control
  • Mechatronics
  • Electronics
  • Computer Science or Software Engineering

You should also have:

  • A genuine interest in computer systems and architectures
  • Flexibility to travel throughout UK and abroad
  • A valid full clean driving license and the use of a car (there will be frequent travel throughout the programme)
  • English fluency to business standard essential
  • Strong communication skills both verbally and written
  • Literacy and experience in using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • An understanding of the Emerson Values
