We are currently looking for a graduate for our 2019 intake to join our Control Systems Team. Ideally you should be educated to degree level in Instrumentation & Control Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Software Engineering or a similar degree. We provide excellent career development opportunities in a supportive and innovative environment. Our graduate development programme is accredited by the IMECHE. Graduates who join us will be working under the direction of a Senior Engineer and will receive guidance on best practice from the rest of the engineering team. You will have an early opportunity to assume technical responsibility for design related tasks and activities.
Responsibilities for members of our Control SystemsTeam include:
Developing detailed design solutions to meet the specifications we have agreed with our customers.
Programming Software, PLCs, HMIs and/or SCADA systems, and associated tools, in a project-based industrial application.
Gaining hands-on, practical experience of the application of integrated control, safety and monitoring systems to innovative products for the offshore environment
Being accountable for quality, safety and fitness for purpose of any design work undertaken.
Presenting technical proposals and designs at concept and detailed design reviews.
Familiarisation with and use of design practices/templates/guidelines and Royal IHC Ltd standards.
Contributing to the improvement of our design methods.

Good team members who can work with their colleagues across the engineering disciplines to achieve our design aims.
Have a strong academic background and a good understanding of engineering first principles and Control System techniques and technologies.
Have a keen interest in developing your skills in Control System software and technologies (eg PLCs, HMIs and/or SCADA).
Be Thorough in their approach to the details.
Be Able to manage their work to achieve quality, budget and timescale targets.
