We are looking for a tenacious Test Facilities Engineer with a focus on Instrumentation and Electronics to join our Turbo Technologies Testing Facilities in Huddersfield, UK.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Evaluate the electronics and instrumentation requirements of our component experts and functional specialists to develop and implement new technologies for global turbocharger test facilities.
  • Design, develop, integrate, and maintain safety PLC systems to support global product development and evaluation of Cummins turbocharger test facilities.

Apply fault finding techniques in control and instrumentation environment, down to component level.

Work as part of the global, multi-disciplinary Test Technology Engineering group to ensure our turbocharger test facilities meet operational demands.

Research and identify new equipment and support the installation and commissioning into the test facility.

To be successful in this role you will need the following;

  • A degree in-process controls, electrical engineering, or a related subject.
  • Experience in designing, developing, and modifying drawings for electrical systems and enclosures.
  • Experience in developing & documenting safety PLC software using industry-recognised techniques & methodologies is highly desirable.
  • Experience in identifying and mitigating safety risks across a broad range of energy sources found in test facilities.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary between £29,500 and £37,800 depending on relevant experience.
  • Defined contribution pension scheme - company contributions up to 9%
  • Annual bonus plan - target 4% (based upon company performance)
