Responsibilities of this role will include:
Apply knowledge of engineering principles and practices to assigned tasks in the design, development, analysis and release of products and subsystems through the product life cycle.
Assists in creating design specifications considering application, cost, weight, performance, product life, manufacture, assembly and service.
Verifies design using analysis and or functional testing, interprets results, drives decisions and assesses risk.
Works with other engineering disciplines and cross functional disciplines to resolve product issues.
Uses Creo CAD software to create design concepts, 3D models and 2D drawings.
Mentor will be provided to assist candidate throughout the Placement period.
Training will be provided to candidate to understand the Euro VI after treatment system (and the Euro VI engine system).
Training will be provided to candidate to understand Cummins design guidelines and design processes and systems.
Guidance of future career progression will be provided.
Training for tools specific to the role will be provided to expand technical skills.
Presentation and communication skill training will be provided to expand soft skills.
Studying MEng or BEng (Honours) in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or equivalent discipline.
Preferred interest or association with a professional mechanical engineering institution of Mechanical Engineers, Institution of Engineering and Technology).
