The Europe Sales Application Engineering team provides technical support to Cummins Distributors and Dealers across the Greater Europe, at pre-sales and installation stage, on the selection, sizing and installation of Diesel and Gas Generating sets and associated systems. As a Sales Application Engineer you will have a great opportunity to develop your skills. This is an extremely diverse and cross-functional role as you will have the opportunity to work with different departments such as Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Customer Support and Manufacturing.

As part of your job you will:

  • Support the European Distributors in sizing correctly Diesel and Gas generating sets and associated systems that meet customer requirements.
  • Assist in the development of technical specifications, implement designs, and advise on all aspects relative to the installation of our product.
  • Support projects, with low to moderate complexity, from early stages up until final commissioning;
  • On-site technical reviews of installations to ensure the equipment is installed correctly to meet customer requirements are ensure equipment performance;
  • Prepare and deliver technical training to Distributors, Consulting Specifying Engineers and key customers and participate in technical seminars across Europe.

Studying towards a Bachelor of Science or equivalent degree in an Engineering or related discipline (including Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry)

Skills & Experience

We are looking for a confident person with a proactive attitude, capable of capable of taking initiative and keen to learn and develop the knowledge in other fields of expertise. No experience is required but we expect you should have a strong technical background. As this part of this role involves delivering technical presentations to a varied group of people you should have good communication skills or the willingness to develop those.
