We are looking for an enthusiastic Supply Chain Placement Student to join our team specialising in Supply Chain Planning for our Distribution Business Segment in Wellingborough/Darlington. During your placement with us, you will learn how a major global organisation operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry and power your potential!

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Providing support to the team with data analytics linking with Finance and Sales functions and developing new reporting capabilities with support of IT.
  • Preparing key performance indicators for Business as usual and projects and presenting to senior management.
  • Analyse and interpret data to draw conclusions to improve business processes.
  • Create innovative solutions to drive improvements in current processes, conduct analysis throughout the Supply Chain helping to identify key insights and improvement opportunities.
  • Help to deliver Supply Chain department initiatives via lead or support individual Supply Chain projects.
  • Support team with 6Sigma project management, monitoring improvement projects of varying complexity and size.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Working towards a STEM degree
  • Excellent IT Skills, in particular Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to understand data, solve problems and think innovatively
  • Ability to manage workload effectively and work independently.
