Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic Current Product Engineering Placement to join our team specialising in Current Product for our Engine Business Unit in Darlington. During your placement with us, you will learn how a major global organisation operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry and power your potential!

Developing your career

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Undertaking of key engineering projects for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Determining assignable cause for component failures and developing a solution.
  • Change management of hardware upgrades for current product engines.
  • Applying engineering theory in a practical application to solve technical problems with knowledge of diesel engine technology.
  • Basic use and understanding of 3D Modelling, drafting and Finite Element Analysis (FEA).

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Currently enrolled on a STEM degree which includes a 12-month industry placement.
  • Strong organisation and inter-personal skills.
  • Ability to self-start and a willingness to learn and develop.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
