We are looking for an enthusiastic EMEA Useful Life Emissions Compliance Project Support Placement to join our team on a 12 month placement commencing July/August 2022 specialising in EMEA Emissions Compliance for our Technical Compliance and Certification Organisation in Darlington, UK.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Supporting Emissions Compliance Harvesting Project - Support the Compliance Specialist in the day-to-day activities of the emissions compliance project by assisting with identifying vehicles, keeping the database up to date, working with key stakeholders on project progression.
Procurement activities - Identifying Vehicles in the field that fit within prescribed parameters. Working with Sales Account Teams, Customer Support teams and Customer Engineering to locate and agree vehicle use with end user.
A Process Improvement Project lead - Leads a process improvement initiative identified by the Compliance Team from initial concept to completion - target 6-month project
Logistic planning of vehicles and machinery - Support the Compliance Team with arranging and tracking of deliveries in and out of Cummins including vehicles and parts.
Ordering of components - Support the Compliance Team with ordering of components for compliance emissions programs.
Creating basic technical reports for purposes of highlighting any non-conformances or risks to team manager.
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
Studying for a degree in Engineering, Business or Logistics with an interest in environmental issues
Experienced in MS Office including Outlook Excel and PowerPoint, MS Project experience would be beneficial
Project Management skills
Effective communicator and have experience in a customer facing environment is advantageous
Ability to write reports on project findings, basic level of technical understanding needed but training will be provided
