We are looking for an enthusiastic EMEA Useful Life Emissions Compliance Project Support Placement to join our team on a 12 month placement commencing July/August 2022 specialising in EMEA Emissions Compliance for our Technical Compliance and Certification Organisation in Darlington, UK.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Supporting Emissions Compliance Harvesting Project - Support the Compliance Specialist in the day-to-day activities of the emissions compliance project by assisting with identifying vehicles, keeping the database up to date, working with key stakeholders on project progression.
  • Procurement activities - Identifying Vehicles in the field that fit within prescribed parameters. Working with Sales Account Teams, Customer Support teams and Customer Engineering to locate and agree vehicle use with end user.
  • A Process Improvement Project lead - Leads a process improvement initiative identified by the Compliance Team from initial concept to completion - target 6-month project
  • Logistic planning of vehicles and machinery - Support the Compliance Team with arranging and tracking of deliveries in and out of Cummins including vehicles and parts.
  • Ordering of components - Support the Compliance Team with ordering of components for compliance emissions programs.
  • Creating basic technical reports for purposes of highlighting any non-conformances or risks to team manager.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Studying for a degree in Engineering, Business or Logistics with an interest in environmental issues
  • Experienced in MS Office including Outlook Excel and PowerPoint, MS Project experience would be beneficial
  • Project Management skills
  • Effective communicator and have experience in a customer facing environment is advantageous
  • Ability to write reports on project findings, basic level of technical understanding needed but training will be provided
