We are looking for enthusiastic Service Engineering students to join our team on a 12 months placement commencing July/August 2022, specialising in Service Engineering for our Engine Business Unit in Darlington Engine Plant/your remote home office.

During your placement with us, you will learn how a major global organisation operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry and power your potential!

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Supporting the identification, resolution, and implementation of fixes on key product issues with OEM’s.
  • Initial data capture and Warranty claim information processing.
  • Support documentation and information to allow the wider group access to Site visitation for potential current product investigations.
  • Supporting OEM account teams in finding resolutions to Customer reported issues.
  • Component failure assessment and processing
  • Collaborates with the OEM and Supplier during warranty assessments on return parts

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • We are looking for a wide range of applicants currently studying a STEM subject at degree level ideally Mechanical Engineering.
  • Good competency in general IT systems MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Proven ability for logical thinking and problem solving.
  • Good team working, communication and task prioritisation.
