This is an exciting time to work for the Diageo Global Engineering team as Diageo has impressive ambitions to grow our world class brands as well as creating an enduring and sustainable business.
We believe the knowledge and expertise gained by studying Engineering, coupled with experiencing and understanding our current operations and then applying learning as we invest in technology, will help us to strengthen the capabilities across our entire organisation. The knowledge you gain as you progress your studies will play a pivotal role in helping us to shape the future of Diageo’s production asset base.
As a Graduate Apprentice you earn while you learn. You will study towards a work-based BEng (Hons) Engineering: Design & Manufacture (Mechanical) degree at Heriot Watt University, Edinburgh commencing September 2023, whilst receiving a competitive salary and benefits package.
The degree programme will give you a firm grounding in Engineering core disciplines, then in Year 3 you will specialise and complete specific modules aligned with the growing engineering specialists within the Business area you will be working in.
The academic learning delivery model at Heriot-Watt University for this Graduate Apprenticeship degree programme is day-release and ‘high-flex’. This means you will attend University one day per week but can choose to attend either in-person or remotely via online learning.
Throughout the four years of study, you will have the opportunity to work in, and learn about the key aspects of both the Engineering and partner functions we work with across our Operational Supply Base. You will rotate across different roles to ensure real depth of understanding of our supply chain operations and the technical aspects of our production processes.
