Job Description

The successful candidate will be:

Part of a GDMS-UK graduate development programme which will provide interpersonal and team working related training courses to develop skills that are fundamental to the business.

Part of a project management graduate development programme closely aligned to the Association of Project Management’s (APM) ‘Five Dimensions of Project Management’ (covering project management knowledge, competence, qualifications, continuing professional development and professional accountability) to ensure career development to meet the project management needs of the electronic Systems business unit and GDMS-UK.

The successful candidate will be:

  • Developed to take responsibility for project management activities such as; scope management, scheduling, resource management, risk management, monitoring & control, progress reporting.
  • Encouraged to obtain formal APM qualifications to support career progression.
  • Mentored and coached by an experienced project manager.
  • Integrated into a multi-disciplined team learning about the various projects and business units, carrying out research and presenting findings to the senior management teams of the business units.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills,
  • Good presentational skills
  • Organised and able to prioritise work
  • Flexible and pragmatic in the approach to work
  • Able, willing and confident to organise/perform tasks using initiative and innovation.

Required Education & Experience

  • A minimum 2:1 honours degree in a business related subject preferably aligned with APM project management competencies.
