Lucite International is a global leader in the design, development, manufacture and sales of acrylics. Our talented people are the energy and driving force behind a dynamic business that supplies a range of growing sectors and geographic markets in EAME, America and Asia. As part of the Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation (MCC) we are passionate about sustainability and respect for the environment. They are key elements of a powerful concept that we call KAITEKI and it’s at the very heart of why we are in business. We are working on developing our processes to help us to reduce our environmental footprint and make a difference to the local community wherever we are.
We are currently offering opportunities for Chemical or Process Engineering students to join us for a 12-month placement at our Cassel manufacturing site in Teesside. Several of our recent industrial placement students have gone on to join the team in graduate roles following completion of their studies. We certainly hope that you can be one of them. In order to continue our work and success we need your talent, skills and ideas.
Based at our Cassel Manufacturing Site on Teesside, in the North East of England, the role is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience, working to ensure that our manufacturing plants operate safely and reliably.
You will become a vital team member from day one and will be challenged and taken outside your comfort zone, but you will also be supported and trained every step of the way. Mentored by experienced colleagues and managers you will have a personal development program to ensure that you fulfill your ambitions during your placement.
We believe that by being open, honest and respectful with each other and working together as a team we will be able to deliver our promises. If you thrive in a driven and collaborative environment, then Lucite Int is the company for you.
If you are a talented undergraduate expecting at least a 2:1 in chemical or process engineering, we can offer you an exciting and challenging 12-month industrial placement. Driven and committed with a strong team ethic, you’ll need to have a high degree of personal accountability.
With our strong value focus of releasing individual personal potential, you will have access to personal development as well as a competitive salary and benefits package.
If you would like the opportunity to join the global leader in acrylics and work on one of the world’s largest MMA producing plants, we would be interested in hearing from you!
