We provide services including design and architecture, business process reengineering, project management & delivery, data management and innovation, all of which underpins our businesses.
Transformation Services importance continues to grow as macro-economic events and industry competition from established players and new FinTech entrants requires us to accelerate our pace and impact of change. Transformation Services is at the heart of this.
The HSBC network covers both established and emerging markets across Europe, Asia-Pacific, Middle East and North Africa, North America and Latin America. Within these markets, we serve our customers through our global businesses: Global Banking and Markets, Commercial Banking, Global Private Banking, and Retails Banking and Wealth Management. Transformation Services has presence in Europe, MENAT, ASIAPAC and the AMERICAs with roles available in London, Hong Kong and New York or Toronto.
What to expect
We are looking for forward-thinking, problem solving, driven and perceptive graduates who will become the future leaders of HSBC.
This programme appeals particularly to individuals who are self-starters, highly driven, passionate about driving change, with an awareness of technology and its implications (without being a technical specialist) whilst having the highest levels of integrity.
Over two years, through a number of rotations, you’ll gain broad experience across capabilities within Transformation Services, ranging from translating strategy into tangible programmes of work, delivering business enhancements, to project managing the delivery of these enhancements or even understanding the fundamental importance of data in everything we do. You’ll experience first-hand how to support businesses to evolve in the face of industry innovation. There will be the opportunity for top performers to complete one of their rotations internationally.
These rotations will be backed up with a wealth of training and development opportunities, including support to study for a professional qualification, a graduate buddy, a dedicated programme manager and access to senior business leaders through regular development events. In this way, you will learn about client satisfaction, the impact of governance and risk management, you’ll work on key products and have the chance to oversee business projects.

As well as your immediate team, we have Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), also known as networks. Your training can be flexible based on how you wish to drive your career. As well as having regular access to business leaders for coaching and advice, you’ll have the opportunity to study for an industry-recognised qualification suitable to your role and planned career, while constructive feedback will enable you to measure your performance. You’ll be assigned a line manager and buddy, who will offer guidance and support. Continued learning will involve “lunch and learn” sessions and soft-skills training.
On completion of the programme, you’ll be known for having a broad array of skills and have a strong reputation, with an unquestionable foundation of change skill. You may have identified an area of specialism and directed your career towards this which enables you to demonstrate specialist expertise early. area and could start progressing towards a more senior role. You will have the flexibility to choose a permanent role that is most suited to your interests and skills.
