Digital & Technology Degree Apprenticeship 2025

BSc (Hons) Digital User Experience (UX) degree.

You will be working towards a full-time job and studying towards a degree apprenticeship with Manchester Metropolitan University on our flagship BSc (Hons) Digital User Experience (UX) degree. It’s a 4-year course in which you will be taught part-time at MMU’s campus in Manchester, and that study will be part-time whilst doing your full-time role.

An induction week at MMU is mandatory to get to know lecturers and your cohort. You will cover many industry-standard UX approaches and cover modules such as UX origins and applications, UX human contexts, Applying creativity through research, and UX futures. The degree includes a final stage project in conjunction with Capgemini’s business.

Your role

We are looking for tech passionate individuals to want to start their career as an apprentice in the IT industry. You will be joining large business area working for our largest UK public sector client working with inspiring experts from which you can learn from and enjoy the career opportunities this brings. You will be joining a large community of Graduates and Apprentices across the business.

You’ll be part of the team that delivers and transforms our client’s existing technology services and creates brand-new services. You will want to put the client experience first. Your UX degree is relevant to your role, and you will get the chance to rotate into user experience, interaction design, and content design roles during your degree, which enables you to specialist in what interests you. This mix and the role you’ll play in delivering new solutions to our client makes this a unique and exciting opportunity, you’ll be understanding and contributing to the complexities of how our services are designed from a user-centric approach.

Your profile 

To be eligible, you need:

  • 7 GCSEs A*-C including Maths and English (4-9) or equivalent
  • 3 A*-C at A-level across the 3 A-levels (NOTE: AS Levels are not included)
  • Completed a L3 Apprenticeship with relevant UX work experience in the industry
  • BTEC (Merit, Distinction, Distinction minimum)
  • Have the right to live and work in the UK
  • Work 100% of your time in England

This role is only available to be based in our office in Telford, West Midlands. As such, you will need to be based within a commutable distance to the Telford office where you should expect to typically be in our Telford office 3 days a week. This specific role is not available to be based in any other UK office, but other opportunities on our website have more flexibility on locations.

Your Security Clearance 

To be successfully appointed to this role, it is a requirement to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance.

To obtain SC clearance, the successful applicant must have resided continuously within the United Kingdom for the last 5 years, along with other criteria and requirements.

Throughout the recruitment process, you will be asked questions about your security clearance eligibility such as, but not limited to, country of residence and nationality.

Some posts are restricted to sole UK Nationals for security reasons; therefore, you may be asked about your citizenship in the application process.
