Your key responsibilities:   

The Electrical Engineering Internship is designed to provide opportunities to a diverse mix of students who demonstrate the same high level of ethics, values, creativity and performance we expect from our employees. During the 12-month paid internship, you will work on projects that have a measurable impact on our business and will be coached and mentored by Eaton leaders.  

This Internship provides an opportunity to get exposure to a working engineering environment during which tasks are assigned which covers areas including design tools (such as schematic entry and PCB layout), electronic prototype assembly (soldering including surface mount etc.), test systems, debug, analysis, and design. Experience will be gained in the use of Eaton’s world-class business processes, including project management. You’ll be given a high degree of responsibility with support by all colleagues in the team, including an assigned mentor.

Your background:  

  • Undergraduates working towards a minimum of a 2:1 in a related discipline (mandatory, below this you won`t be considered)
  • Geographic flexibility to relocate within the UK for the duration of this internship
  • Have legal authorization to work in the United Kingdom without company sponsorship and where appropriate comply with ITAR regulations (we do not sponsor any type of visa for this internship) ready to start in July 2023
  • Actively enrolled in a bachelor's degree or master’s program with a major in electrical engineering
  • Student requires good IT skills, including proficiency in MS office, specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint, but also feel comfortable working with new programs
