As a Highways Engineering graduate at WSP you will have the opportunity to work for clients such as Highways England in helping to plan and design the UK’s future transport network. The Highways team provide opportunities to be involved with delivering long-term sustainable solutions for all types of highways, from local access roads to major urban and rural strategic routes. There cost-effective designs improve safety, ease congestion and extend street and highway life. As a trusted partner to Highways England, they deliver cost effective improvements to England’s strategic road network, such as the M25 widening and the A35 roundabout improvement.

Our graduate development programme is a 3 year programme designed to provide you with both professional skills and specialist technical development opportunities. The programme is supported by our senior leadership team and is tailored give you the support, guidance and the development opportunities you need to help you work towards chartered status or equivalent professional qualifications. Most applications are progressed to interview or assessment centre within 2-3 months but it’s good to know that the whole process can last up to 6 months in total.
