Where the STEM jobs are
Gradcracker works here's the proof
"The graduate scheme has been a lot of fun and has supplemented my on the job trainin"
I graduated from the University of Southampton with a Masters in Civil Engineering in June 2012 and started working for WSP the following September. I joined the Development Infrastructure team in Basingstoke as a Graduate Engineer. Development Infrastructure encompasses everything from earthworks to highway design and drainage. I enjoy the variety of the work that I am involved in, which is often cross-discipline with departments like Transport Planning, Structures, and Geo-technical.
I joined WSP due to the size and diversity of the company. This provides the opportunity to work on a range of projects both in the UK and abroad. In the past year I have worked on projects in Abu Dhabi and Qatar as well as several local projects in Hampshire. Each project has its own challenges that have helped me to develop my engineering knowledge and work towards becoming chartered.
The graduate scheme has been a lot of fun and has supplemented my on the job training. The scheme provides the opportunity to meet other graduates, find out more about the business and of course socialise!
