We are seeking to recruit an ambitious Graduate Building Surveyor to support the various teams to work on our design and consultancy projects within the Financial Institutions sector.  It is intended that the role will offer the opportunity to progress your career as your experience grows within our business. Our team deliver a broad range of services including Technical Due Diligence, Technical Investment Risk Management, Monitoring, investment optimisation, deal assurance, asset and regulatory due diligence, and Environmental Health and Safety compliance auditing.

You will play an important role in supporting our team deliver our services focused on clients as diverse as high street banks, pension funds, private investment companies, financial guarantors and lottery funders.

We have a two year development programme for our Graduates, during which time many work towards various accreditation routes which you will be fully supported with. Our Graduate programmes have helped over 300 people through their accreditation exams since 2011. 

Overview of Role:

As a Graduate you would be expected to take responsibility from day one and in some cases be the clients point of contact for the project. 

Responsibilities: -

  •  Responsible for liaising with Senior team members internally and externally 
  • To develop the success of the projects through clear strategy and proactive commitment
  • Project Lead – dependant on size and nature of the project
  • Able to assist in the preparation of pricing documents in accordance with methods of measurement, preparation of tender and contract documentation.
  • Undertake measurement and estimating or cost plans and post contract cost reporting
  • Attend site meetings and provide progress update, including undertaking interim payments as per the contract mechanisms
  • Provide regular cost reports to client and all negotiations to do with final accounts.
  • Engagement with all members of the team ensuring strong relationships are formed
  • There would be further opportunities to be involved in activities outside of projects, such as charity events, social committee and Emerging Talent recruitment.  Thus acting as an Ambassador for the business.
  • Demonstrate effective communication;
  • Ensuring that senior management have quality information on the progress of each project on a regular basis
  • To provide all work outputs in an accurate and timely manner

Skills/Experience Required

  • Degree or Masters Qualified
