Internship Description:

Our internships give you the opportunity to apply your skills and accelerate your learning from day one. As an Intern, you will be given an insight into one of our projects and work alongside technical experts, learning new skills and gaining new experiences. Technical experience is key in our sector, which is why we will provide you with the experience you require to enhance your studies and kick start your career. You’ll benefit from on-the-job training, mentoring, as well as the assistance you need to develop and succeed.

Our internships last typically between 8 to 12 weeks and you’ll be working in our: Ecology Team. 

Our award-winning Ecology team has more than 30 years of experience undertaking ecological surveys, assessments, habitat design and creation. You will assist in the delivery of a range of ecological surveys, PEA’s, biodiversity strategies, biodiversity and environmental net gain design and assessment and licence applications. You will have the opportunity to work on site to supervise mitigation and construction and undertake monitoring of habitats and species. 

  • Accepted degrees: Ecology, Biological sciences degree or any CIEEM accredited degree

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Studying towards a related degree
  • You will enjoy working in a team environment and have the confidence to work under pressure
  • You will be innovative & creative
  • Resilient and able to deal with ambiguity
  • Be a strategic and analytical thinker
  • Excellent communication skills, and technical knowledge appropriate for the area you are applying to
  • Relevant work experience through internships would be advantageous  
  • Willing to travel and stay away from home when required (where possible we embrace virtual working)
