Position Summary:

We currently have an opportunity for a Graduate Civil Engineer within our Water and Wastewater team based in Edinburgh. The successful person will become part of a respected and ambitious company with excellent career prospects and international opportunities.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

Jacobs are seeking talented graduate civil engineers to join our water and wastewater business in the UK. As a Graduate Engineer based in our Edinburgh office you will work with our Senior and Principal Engineers to deliver projects and to support the development of the team. Responsibilities associated with this post will include:

  • Undertaking technical and feasibility studies and investigations.
  • Developing detailed designs.
  • Supporting tendering procedures and putting together proposals.
  • Compiling and checking reports.

About us.

Essential:

You will hold (or expect to graduate this year with) an accredited MEng in Civil Engineering, ideally at 2.1 or above. Relevant work experience would also be advantageous although not essential.

We will also expect:

  • Strong Mathematical Skills.
  • Strong Computer software skills.
  • Strong team working capabilities.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Focus on results and project delivery.

Desirable:

  • Previous work experience in water / waste water team.
  • An interest in developing both technical and Project Management skills.
