What we do at Jacobs

Our People & Places Solutions (P&PS) business focuses on providing solutions to future challenges such as climate change, the need for renewable energy, low carbon economies, transportation, and material resource and waste management. While we shape some of the very largest and most challenging landmark projects in the UK, we also deliver local projects that protect communities.

We lead with the environment and make social and natural capital central to how we solve our clients’ challenges. We are helping to create the sustainable and resilient cities and communities of the future, making attractive places for all to live and work.

What will you get?

Our Graduate Development Programme is a structured 2-year scheme, aiming to progress Graduates into global project leaders and problem solvers. We provide the framework, mentoring and experience, to help you maximise your skills and ambition across a variety of locations and markets. On joining our scheme in September 2023, you’ll rapidly gain knowledge of how our company works, where our motivations lie and, most importantly, where you can make innovative contributions to our projects and help us take a step towards a more connected and sustainable world.

We also fully support our graduates on the Landscape Institute’s ‘Pathway to Chartership’ with an experienced team of mentors to help your chartership journey and financial support.

Our team delivers projects from concept stage through to planning and construction and we are looking for enthusiastic, innovative and flexible staff to join this highly successful team.

You will join a respected and ambitious company with excellent career prospects both locally and internationally. You will work as part of a diverse and highly skilled team of landscape architects, providing support and advice to a wide range of clients and working with a multi-disciplinary team. There will be opportunities to experience different roles within the Water and Environment team aimed at developing your career.
