About the opportunity

The Transport Planning & Mobility Solutions team at Jacobs is one of the largest in the UK & Ireland, with a varied client base and strong pipeline of work supporting national and international project delivery.

We are looking for talented graduates to come and join the Ireland and Scotland Team. Based in Dublin, Belfast, Edinburgh, Glasgow, we deliver for local clients as well as supporting our colleagues across Ireland, the UK and globally.

Our skillsets cover the full remit of transport planning and include transport modelling/appraisal, active travel, public transport network planning, streets design, traffic engineering, junction design, and transport policy and strategy.

• BusConnects Dublin – Engineering Design and Environmental Impact Assessment Commissions (National Transport Authority)
• Cork Luas Alignment Options and Feasibility Study (Transport Infrastructure Ireland)

• Sligo Area Based Transport Strategy (Sligo County Council)
• Waterford Metropolitan Area Transport Strategy (National Transport Authority)
• Meath Safe Routes to School Programme (Meath County Council)

You will have the support of a mentor, our management team and experts to guide your progress. You will also be given the ability to pursue relevant business and technical training to support your career development. as well as the freedom to grow your network and knowledge base to create innovative solutions.

This opportunity is for transport planning and traffic engineering graduate roles in our Dublin and Belfast offices.

Here's What You'll Need:

• An interest in transport planning/traffic engineering such as:
  
  • Healthy Streets schemes
  • Active travel schemes
  • Mass transit schemes
  • Junction improvement schemes
  • Place-making schemes
  • Transport policy/strategy
  • Transport modelling/appraisal/economics
• Be working towards a relevant Degree or Masters level qualification such as Geography, Planning, Economics, Mathematics, Operational Research, Statistics, Data/Computer Science, Civil or other Engineering
• To be a flexible and innovative self-starter who brings a curious mindset to finding solutions for real-world problems
• The adaptability to learn, unlearn and re-prioritise as things around you change
• You must have the permanent right to work in Ireland (for Dublin based role) or the UK (for Belfast based role).
