Wellbeing

Wellbeing is at the heart of our company culture

We want our employees to be able to make the most of their opportunities and reach their full potential. That means we need to focus on mental health and wellbeing. Our employees are supported by an amazing programme which is silver accredited by Mind’s Workplace Wellbeing Index.

Our Wellbeing Programme helps create a people-focused culture where all of our employees are supported in times of need and is a key part of our work as a signatory of the Mental Health at Work Commitment. Everyone should have continual support as well as access to information on how to look after and sustain their wellbeing.

Equipping our employees

Our annual wellbeing initiatives equip our employees with tools and information to take care of their physical and mental health. We run webinars with experts, organise challenges and networking events, and provide online training.

We also offer employee networks, such as our UK Wellbeing and our Menopause Moments networks. Employees have access to discounted gym memberships, our cycle to work scheme, and health assessments with our private medical insurer, Bupa.

Employee resource groups

We support the work life balance of our employees through hybrid and flexible working options. Many of our employees blend office and home working, enhancing their productivity and wellbeing.

Also, all employees can apply for a flexible working arrangement where their working hours follow a regular or predictable pattern, for example, part-time working. Our aim for an amazing culture is brought to life through our Stantec WorkLife@Stantec Charter, which sets out work-life behaviours that we encourage employees to observe.

Providing support

We're committed to making mental health and wellbeing support accessible to everyone. We provide support to any employee when they need it, with an amazing team of mental health first aiders and wellbeing champions across all our offices in the UK.

Employees can access specialist information, advice, and treatment when they need it, whether that be through dedicated internal wellbeing pages, through our Employee Assistance Programme, or by opting into our private healthcare scheme.

Our offices

It’s normal to worry about money, and—we want our people to have access to top tips on how to manage finances, where to get support, and how to start reducing stress around money problems.

That’s why we partner with debt advice and financial management consultants to give our people confidential, personal, and impartial help.
