Stantec launches largest ever graduate recruitment drive

Added: Over a year ago by Stantec

Stantec, a global leader in sustainable design and engineering, is today launching its largest ever graduate recruitment campaign in the UK and Ireland to boost their 2,500-strong workforce. A wide variety of new graduate positions are now open for applications, suitable for students graduating with honours degrees in subjects including Civil Engineering, Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Geography, Electrical Engineering and Environmental Sciences.

Stantec allows you to grow and explore undiscovered interests.

Graduates will join a growing global organisation. With new regional offices recently opened in London and Exeter, Stantec has 21 locations around the UK and Ireland.

Offering graduates unique opportunities to join their growing multidisciplinary teams, the firm is proud to provide graduates with a 2-year graduate core training programme, supporting a long-term commitment to Stantec’s early career professionals.

As a company promise, Stantec designs with community in mind, and that principle is also applied when connecting with future talent. In addition to the graduate core training, Stantec’s Developing Professionals Group (DPG) gives those in the early stages of their career opportunities to meet colleagues throughout the global organisation while developing both technically and professionally.

The DPG actively works to combine the energy and innovative minds of developing professionals with the wisdom and experience of company leadership.

“I consider DPG one of Stantec’s biggest assets, providing opportunities to professionals who are developing and moulding their careers. Our DPG initiatives aim to help individuals cultivate new skills and create new connections, whilst broadening their potential in the professional world,” said Zoe Walker, Graduate Water Quality Modeller at Stantec.

In support of the company’s commitment to sustainability, Stantec is proud to continue its partnership with LandAid, a property industry charity that unites over 200 organisations to help bring an end to youth homelessness. Enabled by removing the use of single-use plastics from graduate recruitment, Stantec is delighted to use this budget in a more globally responsible way.

When asked why others should consider starting their graduate career journey with Stantec, graduate data analyst Emily Downs commented, “Stantec is the perfect place for graduates to use the skills they acquired in school and at university and apply them to meaningful projects that will impact people and places across the world. The company allows you to grow and explore undiscovered interests which may lead you into a new field or team that you never thought possible.”

Gill Blandin-Ellis, HR Director, UK & Ireland commented, “To welcome our largest intake of graduates to the Stantec community in 2023 is an exciting prospect. We have great opportunities not only to collaborate on groundbreaking projects and innovations, but also to shape our organisation and culture through our growing network of Employee Resource Groups and the Developing Professionals Group. I am looking forward to the ideas, enthusiasm and passion our new members of the graduate community will bring.”
