We have a large and diverse graduate cohort, spread across all our offices in the UK. You will join our existing cohort of Engineers, Scientists, Project Managers, Data specialist, Environmentalist, Talent Acquisition & HR, Health Safety and Business Management to name a few.

We have a structured 2 year graduate program that is catered to your specific discipline. You will learn on the job, work on some amazing projects and be mentored by some of our industries leading practitioners.  

The Opportunity

Stantec has a strong reputation for the delivery of transport projects, with a well-established Transport Team spread across the UK. We are currently seeking enthusiastic graduates to join us in London, Reading, Cambridge, Birmingham, Manchester or Leeds.

We work with public and private sector clients preparing economic appraisals of active travel projects, new rail stations and lines, housing developments and new technologies.

We also specialise in major scheme appraisals, business cases and developing transport strategies. Current projects include helping develop the case for Levelling Up Fund submissions, developing the business case to revitalise a town centre in London, and assessing the economic benefits of a new app to improve the management of deliveries.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • helping deliver transport planning and economics projects across the UK;
  • helping deliver transport appraisals and business cases to inform investment decisions;
  • conducting research and analysing data to support the development of transport projects.

About you

You have plenty of positive energy, a desire to learn and you have a passion for Economics and Transport. You are excited to join Stantec and develop the next great infrastructure project.

Desirable Skills include:

  • You will be highly numerate with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • You will have a keen interest in keeping up to date with developments in transport and economics
  • You will also have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to clearly communicate findings from complex data

The experience we look for in our graduates:

  • You will have achieved or be on target to achieve a Honours Degree in Transport Planning, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Operational Research or equivalent. 
  • You will have relevant work experience gained through summer placements and internships.
  • Finally, you must be eligible to live and work in the UK at the time you start employment
