About Stantec

Stantec is a professional services firm. Our team of 25,000 global experts provides engineering, architecture, environmental, and project management services across all phases of the project life cycle.

The Stantec Promise

More than our services, we are defined by what we stand for, what we believe, and why we do what we do. Our promise is to design with community in mind. Watch our staff explain why community matters so much to them.

We’re designers, engineers, scientists, and project managers, innovating together at the intersection of community, creativity, and client relationships. Balancing these priorities results in projects that advance the quality of life in communities across the globe.

From large-scale developments to challenging neighbourhood projects, we stretch across our global network to learn from others, offer our support, and gain new experiences along the way. So while we work to help the communities around us thrive, our own people thrive too.

The Opportunity

Redefine your personal best.

Have you ever thought about joining a Graduate Development Programme, where you get to work in a diverse and welcoming environment whilst getting stuck into amazing projects?  With us, you can start your journey to become professionally chartered or qualified.

We are very proud that our last Graduate intake was the largest UK intake to date… and we intend to do it all over again.

We have a super enthusiastic and diverse graduate cohort, with a total global workforce of 25,000 talented individuals.

When you join us, you will be part of our 2-year Graduate programme, tailored to your development. You will learn from and be mentored by some of the best technical minds in the industry. After you finish the programme, you will be continuing your career journey as you develop your technical and leadership capabilities.

The opportunities are truly great.

Day in the life….

Electrical, instrumentation control and automation (ICA) engineers are responsible for all the Electrical and ICA engineering elements of solutions and the production of associated outline and detailed designs to support the successful delivery of projects. You will be working on a variety of water and wastewater infrastructure related projects.

You will be joining our team in the Leeds office where you will work as part of a multi-disciplined dedicated design group to support with undertaking technical audits, risk evaluations, the electrical/ICA design and liaise with other technical disciplines at feasibility, outline and detailed stages to produce solutions in a timely and cost effective manner.

We know our continuing success and development depends on yours, so we go all the way when it comes to giving you the support you need to be the very best. Each graduate will be allocated a chartered engineer to act as their mentor to enable them to achieve chartered status.

In addition, we work on a hybrid model – having a balance of working from home and working in one of our many offices across the UK.  The MEICA Team is supportive, friendly, and professional – you will feel welcomed from the moment you step foot in the door.

About You

You will have achieved or be on target to achieve a minimum of an Honours degree in Electrical Engineering on an IET accredited course. Ideally, you will also be an affiliate member of the IET.

You will have a keen interest in the water sector and working on water related projects. This could be evidenced through university projects, dissertation topic or undergraduate placement/internship experience.

Finally, you must be eligible to live and work in the UK at the time you start employment.

**There is no closing date on this vacancy. Recruitment is ongoing. We recommend applying as soon as possible as adverts may close if we have sufficient applicants.**
